Parent and Tot is a program designed to allow a family member to assist in the young skaters development. This program allows the skaters to receive hands-on assistance from a family member who they know and trust.
Both parent and child must be registered with Skate Canada.
CanSkate is a dynamic learn-to-skate program that focuses on fun, participation and basic skill development. Based on Sport Canada’s long term athlete development (LTAD) principles, CanSkate centers on physical literacy and the fundamental skills needed to take part in any ice sport or to skate as a recreational activity.
PreCanPower is a section of the CanSkate program with the intent on learning and building fundamental skills needed to transition to ice hockey or ringette. Hockey equipment and use of sticks are allowed during lessons.
Our StarSkate program includes RisingStar, JuniorStar and SeniorStar groupings. The RisingStar is a transitional group into our StarSkate program.
StarSkate offers opportunities for skaters to develop fundamental figure skating skills in areas of ice dance, free skate and interpretative skating. Lessons are given in a group and private lesson format.
Skaters have the opportunity to take Skate Canada tests through a nationally standardized testing system.
